Hedda Nussbaum, who awaits a possible grand jury investigationinto the fatal beating of her 6year-old adopted daughter, is expectedto be transferred to another hospital today or tomorrow, according to a reliable source. Last night, Nussbaum remained in City Hospital Center, Elmhurst, Queens, where she has been treated since early November for numerous fractures and for ulcerated sores on her right leg. Nussbaum, 45, and her companion of 17 years, Joel Steinberg, 46, are being held on second-degree murder charges in the beating death of the girl, Lisa Steinberg, whose given name was Elizabeth.
