La Theorie de L'unanisme dans L'oeuvre de Jules Romains

Abstract

"L'Unanimisme" --- voilà un mot qui frappe l'oeil quand on l'écrit aussi bien qu'il frappe l'oreille quand on le dit. Mais, qu'est-ce que c'est? Il y a maintes et vagues interprétations de ce mot. Cependant, pour la plupart des gens, aujourd'hui, "l'unanimisme" reste encore incompréhensible. Est-ce que c'est une méthode nouvelle d'écrire la poésie? Est-ce que c'est un devise de théâtre? Est-ce un style nouveau ou une forme nouvelle du roman? Enfin, "l'unanimisme," est-ce une nouvelle philosophie de la vie?

Le fait est que la théorie d'Unanimisme s'est faite sentir non seulement dans le monde littéraire mais aussi dans la vie, elle-même. C'est le but de cette thèse d'expliquer "l'Unanimisme", d'étudier la vie et les oeuvres de l'homme qui/a formule la théorie, et de peser sa valeur comme une philosophie de la vie.

D'après Jules Romains, lui-même, "le texte de la dissertation vous pose un problème. L'important n'est pas de chercher dans le peu qu'on connaît de la réalité, à dix-huit ou vingt ans, des bouts de réponse. D'abord ils colleraient mal entre eux, se contrediraient peutêtre, ne mèneraient qu'à une conclusion balbutiante, effrayée d'avance de son audace. L'important est de découvrir une opposition --- vraie ou fausse, c'est un detail --- entre deux idees essentielles. Des lors le joint est trouve. Le problème est entamé et ne demande qu'à s'oevrir en deux.
