Abstract

Abstract: Around the world, the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) methodology is applied to the teaching of basic and technical sciences such as robotics and programming, as well as in new applications in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In order to generate motivation in children and young people about the use of Artificial Intelligence, this research used the Scratch and Machine Learning for Kids technology platforms together with the STEAM methodology as a bridge between education and technology, in the subject of Mathematics in eighth graders. [...]of this integration, favorable results were obtained regarding the motivation of students in the use of Artificial Intelligence. Keywords: Alternative Education; Artificial Intelligence; Science Education; Teaching Material; Web Platforms. 1.Introducción Alrededor del mundo, el programa PISA (Programa para la Evaluación Internacional de Estudiantes) determina el nivel educativo que las naciones poseen, evalúa a estudiantes entre 15 y 16 años en destrezas de lectura, ciencias y matemática, busca no solo la reproducción del conocimiento, sino una extrapolación y aplicación del mismo (Arévalo Gross & Guevara Duque, 2018).
