Hoşyar Kadın Ve Siyer-i Nebî adlı Eseri

Abstract

Siyer-i Nebî ve Menâkıb-ı Çehâr-Yâr-ı Güzîn XIX. yüzyılın ortalarında kaleme alınmış 110 varaktan oluşan mensur bir eserdir. İstanbul Üniversitesi Nadir Eserler Kütüphanesi'nde kayıtlıdır ve tek nüshadır. Eserin müellifi Hoşyar Kadın II. Mahmud'un ikinci kadınıdır. Pek çok kaynaktan istifâde edilerek yazılan Siyer-i Nebî ve Menâkıb-ı Çehâr-Yâr-ı Güzîn siyer türünün muhtevâsına paralel olarak Hazret-i Peygamber (s.a.s)'in ruhunun yaratılmasından, ecdâdından, vahiy sürecinden ve mûcizelerinden bölümler ihtivâ etmektedir. Menâkıbnâme olarak isimlendirilen bölümde ise ilk dört halîfenin yaşantılarından kesitler bulunmaktadır. Çalışmamızın amacı daha önce tespit edilmemiş olan ve bir kadınefendi tarafından yazılan Siyer-i Nebî’yi ortaya çıkarmaktır. Giriş ve üç bölümden oluşan çalışmamızda giriş kısmı kadınefendilik kurumu ile ilgili genel bir değerlendirmeye ayrılmıştır. Birinci bölümde Hoşyar Kadın’ın hayatı ve eserleri incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde eserin şekil ve muhtevâ husûsiyetlerine yer verilmiş ve içeriği özetlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise eser transkripsiyon alfabesiyle günümüz diline aktarılmıştır.

Siyer-i Nebî ve Menâkıb-ı Çehâr-Yâr-ı Güzîn is a prosaic work consisting of 110 foil. The work was written in the middle of the 19. the century. The work is registered at Istanbul University Library of Rare Artifacts, and it has a single copy. The author of the work is Hoşyar Kadın, who was the second wife of the Mahmud the Second. Siyer-i Nebî ve Menâkıb-ı Çehâr-Yâr-ı Güzîn was written by utilizing many sources. In parallel to content of a regular prophetic biography, the work includes parts related to creation of the soul of the Prophet Muhammad, his ancestors, process of revelation and his miracles. In the part which is titled as Menâkıbnâme, there are sections about the lives of the first four caliphates.

The aim of our study is to bring Siyer-i Nebî into light, which was not determined before and which was written by a Kadınefendi (this word refers to a wife of an Ottoman Sultan since Ahmed the Third). Our study consists of an introduction and three sections. In the introduction part, information about Kadınefendi in general is shared. In the first part, the life of Hoşyar Kadın and her works are analyzed. In the second part, the aforementioned work of her is elaborated by taking into account its type and content. In the third part, the work has been translated into modern language with transcription alphabet.
