Abstract

Analysis of phase change materials selection (PCMs) for latent heat storage by Multicriteria decision methods (MCDM) Abstract: Use of thermal energy storage (TES) with high-temperature phase change materials (PCMs) for the above-mentioned applications will allow raising considerably energy efficiency in using the thermal and solar energy and solve the disparity between energy production or availability and consumption. Multi-criteria decision-making methods (MCDM) have been implemented to solve the problem. Keywords: solar thermal energy; latent heat thermal energy storage (LHTES); multi-criteria decision-making; phase change material (PCM); material selection. En esta investigación, se utilizó un paquete de software de selección de materiales CES Selector de Garanta Designa para evaluar el almacenamiento de calor sensible entre 500-750 °C. Sin embargo, aún no se ha realizado un estudio relacionado con la selección de material LHS para TES entre 200-400 °C. En este estudio se han desarrollado tres métodos MCDM basados en clasificación de preferencias, es decir, COPRAS-G, TOPSIS y VIKOR para una clasificación precisa de los materiales alternativos para PCM.
