Los Angeles-Construction has begun on Woodbury University's new studio building, completing the school's architecture facilities and adding a publicly prominent new structure to the Burbank campus. Designed by Los Angeles-based architecture firm Rios dementi Hale Studios, the new two-story building will accommodate studio and critique space for approximately 200 students, as well as an all-school exhibit space.
The studio building will anchor Woodbury's architecture program, which currently comprises five separate, one-story buildings on the southeast corner of the 22-acre campus. In consultation with Woodbury's architecture faculty and administration, Rios Clementi Hale Studios designed the space with a very open, flexible floor plan, capable of accommodating future changes in the architecture school, teaching philosophies, or administrative needs.
