Melvin Mooney Distinguished Technology Award
Dr. Castner, Senior R&D Associate for The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, was selected to receive the Melvin Mooney Distinguished Technology Award. The award honors exceptional technical competency through significant and repeated contributions to rubber science and technology. This award is sponsored by Crompton Corporation/Uniroyal Chemical Company. Dr. Castner is particularly noted for his pioneering work in the area of nickel catalyzed diene polymerization for the synthesis of high cis-polybutadiene.
