This book is one in a series examining the practice of counselling in different contexts. The focus of this volume is on psychological services in the NHS. `Counselling ' is extended to cover all forms of verbal psychotherapy practised by clinical psychologists as well as counsellors within these services. The result is a well-informed overview and critical appraisal of the development of NHS psychology provision. A number of issues surrounding therapeutic practice and training are also dealt with in some detail.
