A visiting delegation of the political wing of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Paris has urged the French government to help convince the international community to declare SDF-held areas in Syria's north a no-fly zone, Kurdish media reported on 21 and 22 September.
The no-fly zone has been requested to prevent a looming Turkish invasion and have the SDF fighters continue their focus on the battles against the Islamic State (IS) group in Syria's easternmost parts in Deir al-Zour Province near the Iraq border, Kurdish reports have said.
