DIVERSE FIELD AT COTTBUS
Ten different names topped the results at the annual Cottbus (Germany) Tournament of Masters, March 23-24. The apparatus-only competition featured a qualification round, followed by a top-eight final. Then the top two performers on each event competed head-to-head to determine the champion.

COURIVAUD, CUCHERAT IN FRANCE
Estelle Courivaud and Yann Cucherat won the senior women's and men's all-around titles, respectively, at the 2002 French championships, held March 9-10 in Metz.
Fourth a year ago, Courivaud defeated Betty Dupin. Defending champion Clelia Coutzac placed 12th.
Cucherat regained the title he won in '99 and '00, having lost it to Florent Maree in '01. Maree finished second this year, while defending bronze medalist Cedric Guille placed fourth.
