LAS VEGAS, NV -- Quiet since its spring merger, Packard Bell NEC has announced it will streamline the process of shipping NEC computers to the Canadian channel.
Packard Bell NEC, the world's third largest PC vendor, has consolidated its PC manufacturing operations in Sacramento, CA. Products destined for the Canadian market are then shipped through NEC's distribution centre in Mississauga, Ont.
If the changes to the distribution process go as planned, resellers and VARs in Canada will receive product three days after it leaves the manufacturer's facilities, said Westlake Village, CA-based Packard Bell NEC's senior vice-president of marketing, Mal Ransom.
