A 15-year-old girl developed reversible Takotsubo cardiomyopathy following an overdose with amfetamine/ dexamfetamine [dextroamphetamine] and sertraline ingestion in a suicide attempt.
The girl presented with tachycardia and chest pain after intentionally ingesting six 20mg extended release amfetamine/ dexamfetamine tablets, fifteen sertraline tablets 25mg with an unknown amount of loratadine, twelve hours prior to the presentation in a suicide attempt.
