The Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics {JLME) is an official publication of the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics (765 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, MA 02215). JLME changed titles from Law, Medicine and Health Care in 1993 when the Society changed its name from the American Society of Law and Medicine. JLME invites thoughtful discussion of controversial issues. The journal "welcomes high-quality essays that critically examine major issues at the intersection of law, ethics, and policy in medicine and health care, including nursing." It is specifically stated that the views expressed in the articles are those of the authors and not those of the editors or the Society.
