Califf: FDA Needs Postmarket Surveillance System For Devices

Posted: November 19, 2015 Robert Califf, the president's nominee to lead FDA, said he is committed to implementing the agency's plan to expand the Sentinel system to postmarket surveillance of devices, but the agency will need funding from Congress in order to implement the system, speaking at his Senate health committee confirmation hearing Tuesday (Nov. 17).
