She specialises in show-stopping cakes and has baked for the illustrator Quentin Blake, presenter Clare Balding (Wimbledon Grand Slam Jammy Dodgers) and the Tate's Matisse Exhibition. She is currently writing her first book, Quinntessential.

It turned out to be a good decision. He has published two cookery books, is a TV chef on ITV's Lorraine and is opening his own cookery school, John Whaite's Kitchen, in Lancashire later this year.
