Abstract
Traditionally, it is often stressed that the Segunda Parte del Lazarillo of Juan de Luna is only a sequel that mimics the Lazarillo de Tormes of 1554. However, in this research, I will re-evaluate the Lazarillo de Luna, but this time from the Guzmán de Alfarache 's paradigm: speech as fundamental weapon of the pícaro. Under such a model, the text of 1620 by Juan de Luna is closer to the speech of the Guzman of Alfarache and distances, to some extent, from the Lazarillo de Tormes (1554).
