Wednesday night the Ultra Lounge in Orono will be the place to be if you fancy good, in-your-face rock when two Canadian bands hit the stage -- opening act Neurosonic (see Page 2) and headliners Kittie.
The latter band is made up of four young ladies who are touring in support of their latest CD titled "Funeral For Yesterday," (released on their own X Of Infamy Records and distributed by Caroline Records), which proudly displays their considerable hard-rocking talents. In a recent telephone interview from a tour bus heading to Cleveland, lead singer and co-founder Morgan Lander chatted about that album and her group's upcoming trip to Maine.
After the introductory pleasantries, one wondered if the Canadian quartet had ever performed in Maine before.
"We actually played Portland once, and I believe it was in 2002, so it's been quite a few years and we're definitely looking forward to coming back. Hopefully," she added, "there'll be some 'Funeral...
