ANN ARBOR, Mich., January 13, 2009 - For the eighth consecutive year, ProQuest has been recognized on EContent magazine's annual EContent 100 List of "Companies that Matter Most in the Digital Content Industry." ProQuest, an information partner to libraries and researchers of all types, creates research solutions that connect people and information. It has been included on the EContent 100 List every year since the inaugural list was published in December 2001. Considered an industry leader, ProQuest's ability to continually evolve to serve rapidly changing expectations captured the judges' notice. "During the past eight years that ProQuest has earned a position on the EContent 100 list, the company has definitely evolved," said Michele Manafy, editor-in-chief of EContent magazine. "But what remains consistent is their dedication to libraries and the people they serve. That dedication is a big part of why they continue to be one of the companies that matter most in the digital information industry." "ProQuest has continually kept ahead of the changing needs of all types of researchers," said Marty Kahn, CEO of ProQuest. "By combining the right content with precision search technology, we are able to empower people with information. I believe ProQuest’s longevity on the EContent 100 list is a reflection of that commitment." EContent is a widely-respected source for information about the digital content industry. The magazine has a mission to clearly identify and explain emerging digital content trends, strategies, and resources that will help readers navigate the content maze and find a clear path to profits and improved business processes. Its EContent 100 List is compiled through a painstaking process of review by EContent's staff and contributing editors, as well as a panel of industry analysts. Companies' activities from the past year are reviewed, along with their current impact on the digital content industry. The judges spend months voting, commenting, and debating on which companies have the most significant impact. More information on the 2008 winners of the EContent 100 awards can be found online at www.econtentmag.com. In addition, the winners will be honored at the Buying & Selling eContent 2009 conference being held April 5-7, 2009 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mr. Kahn will deliver the conference’s keynote address. |
